這首歌仍是Adele 老梗，唱的是不太讓人喜樂的「男女關係」。但是歌裡總是有個弦外之音，就是她自己雖然詛咒抱怨這個男人，但她卻也無法自拔。Water under the bridge 指的應該是有點驚險，讓人緊張的男女關係，你在橋上走，看著腳下的水，的確是有點害怕。或者說，橋下的水也有深不可測的感覺吧！
